Rapunzel Hostel is centrally located in the hip and happening area of Istanbul, “Galata” (in the Beyoglu district) offering a budget hostel next to the famous Galata Tower. Istiklal Street, with its nightlife, shopping and famous cosmopolitan atmosphere is only 5 min away; as is Tünel Square, which is officially the trendiest place in Istanbul right now, with a mixture of cool cafés and bars. The old city “Sultanahmet”, which holds all the principal monuments of Istanbul, is also 5 min away by tram. The nearest metro station is 2 min, tram and bus stops are 3 min walking distance away from our beloved hostel. How to get there

We are right next to famous Galata Tower

From Ataturk Airport (IST)

OPTION 1 (not recommended if you have a large suitcase):
Take the M1, Airport-Aksaray subway line, coloured red. Get off at Zeytinburnu and take the T1, Zeytinburnu – Kabatas tram line, coloured dark blue and get off at Karaköy. Follow the way going up to Galata Tower, in 5 minutes you will reach our hostel. Click here for detailed walking directions

OPTION 2 (recommended if you have a large suitcase):

Take the HAVATAŞ shuttle bus to Taksim, costs 10 TL per person, here you can find the timetable for HAVATAŞ. From there, you can take a taxi, it costs around 8 TL, less than 3 €. From Taksim square you can also walk to Rapunzel, it lasts around 25 minutes. If you prefer to walk, here is a detailed directions map.

From Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW)

OPTION 1 (not recommended if you have a large suitcase):
Take the HAVATAŞ shuttle to Kadikoy, here you can find the timetable for HAVATAŞ. From there take the ferry line to Karaköy, which lasts 20 minutes. Timetable for that is here. After you reach Karaköy follow the way going up to Galata Tower, in 5 minutes you will reach our hostel. Click here for detailed directions.
